One thing I’m really looking forward to about this upcoming season of “Dexter” is Mos Def joining the crew. I’ve been a fan of Mos Def’s acting for a while now so to see him doing something I’m crazy about, well it just makes me get all giddy with excitement, know what I mean?

So when Entertainment Weekly throws up the first shot giving us Mos Def from the upcoming sixth season, well obviously that’s going to be something that catches my interest. On the definite chance it interests you too I’ve come here today to give you all a look. The shot can be found directly below and finds Mos Def seemingly helping out Michael C. Hall’s ‘Dexter.’ Nothing too exciting but just enough to feed your “Dexter” excitement! Scroll away and enjoy.

Witness blood splatter analyst/serial killer Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) squatting by a stitched-up corpse while preparing an evidence bag of… baby snakes? “That is the first mysterious kill linked to Professor Gellar that’s going to cross Dexter’s path and let him know that he’s up against a killer, the likes of which he hasn’t seen before,” exec producer Scott Buck tells EW, referencing the charismatic religious studies professor that will be played by Edward James Olmos. “This is a person who’s sending out a message, and Dexter can’t wait to figure out what that message is.”

Along with Mos Def the other “Dexter” newcomers include Josh Cooke, Colin Hanks, Molly Parker, Edward James Olmos, Aimee Garcia, Billy Brown and Brea Grant (below). Season 6 is filming now with a Fall premiere set only on Showtime.
