First MSP Trailer

Instead of rushing over to IGNFilmForce to check out the new ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 trailer (looks cool, but it is NOT horror), shoot your way onto the FrightFlix website and download the MURDER-SET-PIECES trailer (one note: it’s a Shockwave site so we can’t direct link). It’s plenty graphic and there’s even a fair bit of nudity thrown in. Hey, it’s a genre short done totally right.

One possible problem – this is not a genre short. It’s a trailer for what the filmmakers are doing their level best to build up as the most CONTROVERSIAL! and SHOCKING! horror film since the dawn of time. Now my vibe off the trailer was much more DEAD ALIVE than THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. Which is fine. Horror that is so over the top it’s funny has an illustrious history. Hopefully that’s what they’re going for, I mean, this looks like it could be the MUPPETS TAKE MANHATTAN of model slaying, Vegas based, gore fests. If not though, well…I’ll hope it’s a case where the trailer doesn’t do the movie justice, ‘cause uh-oh otherwise, and I for one have really been looking forward to the flick.

Oh by the way, I’ve got nothing against the ASSAULT remake trailer. You can check it out here.
