Well I’m legitimately starting to get excited for THE HOBBIT now, and though it’s just in its early stages, they’re doing a good job of trickling out information to keep stringing us along until the premiere, which is still exceptionally far away.
I really appreciated the Peter Jackson walkthrough of the first day of production we saw a while ago, and today we have our first official pics from the film via Entertainment Weekly.

They show Martin Freeman as Bilbo and Ian McKellen back in full Gandalf gear. Nothing too revolutionary, but it’s a start, and I’m sure there will be loads more to come in the coming year.
