Remember when news broke about Ashley Greene starring in director Oliver Blackburn’s ROSEMARY’S BABY-esque horror flick SATANIC? Kinda? Ok, do you remember when we announced a couple of weeks later that Lucas Till (STOKER) was cast alongside Greene in the same film, then retitled KRISTY? Ah, now it’s ringing a bell. Well today we’re bringing you your first look at Ashley Greene from the film RANDOM. No, not a picture from a random film, but your first look at Greene from the now retitled (for the third time) film RANDOM, which is currently shooting in New Orleans. Yeah, it all gets a bit confusing.

SATANIC/KRISTY/RANDOM is coming to us from The Weinstein Company with Blackburn (DONKEY PUNCH) at the helm, working from a script by Anthony Jaswinski. The story…

follows a girl who is alone on campus over the Thanksgiving break when a random encounter with a gang of violent outcasts leads them to target her as their next victim. To survive, she must conquer her deepest fears to outwit them and fight back.

Haley Bennett had been announced to play the lead in this psychological thriller, with Ashley Greene joining the cast as ‘Violet’, and below you can see Greene in character (courtesy of Entertainment Weekly).

Greene is sporting a thuggish look with the hoodie and gloves on, which leads us to believe that she may be a member of the gang that terrorizes Bennett’s character in the film. Guess we’ll have to hear more about RANDOM to find out.

RANDOM is being produced by David Kirshner (the CHILD’S PLAY series) and Corey Sienega (FRAILTY), so horror fans may be in good hands here. Let’s hope so. With so many title changes over the past four months I’m beginning to wonder.
