First ghostly poster for Ti West’s The Innkeepers

While I wasn’t entirely won over by HOUSE OF THE DEVIL, there isn’t anyone alive who can’t admit that director Ti West made a pitch-perfect ’80s horror flick. This style was evident in the marketing as well, especially those beautiful posters which felt just like those folded works of art you’d find hanging in video stores back in the day. (Video stores were places you’d go to rent movies, kids. You’ll read about it in history class.)

THE INNKEEPERS looks to continue that tradition.

Synopsis: After over one hundred years of service, The Yankee Pedlar Inn is shutting its doors for good. The last remaining employees -Claire (Sara Paxton) and Luke (Pat Healy) – are determined to uncover proof of what many believe to be one of New England’s most haunted hotels. As the Inn’s final days draw near, odd guests check in as the pair of minimum wage “ghost hunters” begin to experience strange and alarming events that may ultimately cause them to be mere footnotes in the hotel’s long unexplained history.

THE INNKEEPERS will premiere on VOD December 30th and hit theaters on February 3rd from Magnet Releasing. Check out this excellent poster that just premiered on EW.
