The final installment of the epic genre franchise SAW is only a couple weeks away folks. Can you believe it? Whether you’ve hated the flick or followed every one to the T there’s no denying SAW will hold a big spot in genre history. So it’s with that excitement and enthusiasm that I’m coming here today to give you all a nice big SAW 3D update that should help get us through to the film’s October 29th release date.
Apparently Lionsgate are going the route of viral marketing with SAW 3D, choosing to concentrate on the film’s main character ‘Mr. Bobby Dagen,’ played by Sean Patrick Flannery. You see a number of websites have been created for the character to help us all get to know him better. Most notably it seems Dagen has scored his own official website over at www.BobbyDagen.com. At said site you’ll be treated to a number of things, including a video of Dagen at one of his meetings with a very special guest! So what’re you waiting for? I’ve gone ahead and tossed the clip up over in our videos section but you can just scroll below to check it out!
Also it seems that a new ‘survivor’ will be welcomed to Bobby Dagen’s website every week up until SAW 3D’s release, so be sure to keep check back for that! Along with the official website we’ve also got a Facebook page, a Twitter page and a Blogspot page all aimed at Mr. Dagen and the survivors of ‘Jigsaw.’ So you’ll definately want to click around a bit and check all those out!
But not before scoping out today’s other update! We’ve got a look at four brand new stills from the feature to help get you guys pumped! These aren’t your everyday boring stills either…. There’s some solid stuff going on here! The shots come courtesy of SAW 3D’s official Facebook page and can be found above and directly below. Also on the film’s Facebook page you’ll find a new tab called ‘Challenge.’ You’ll want to check that out to save your friends and enter for a chance to win free tickets or an actual trap from the Saw 3D trailer. And lastly it seems Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures are planning on hosting a SAW Fan Appreciation Night! So what does this entail exactly? Well you see across the country early screenings of SAW 3D will be showing on Thursday October 28th at 8 PM, 10 PM and Midnight. If you’re lucky enough to secure one of these seats you’ll be treated to a limited edition pair of 3D glasses that boast I SAW IT FIRST 10.28.10. Clever huh? Clever and pretty badass! You’ll want to head on over to Fandango to order your tickets for SAW Fan Appreciation Night and secure your spot early!
In SAW 3D, the seventh chapter, a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw’s brutal legacy. A group of Jigsaw survivors gathers to seek the support of self-help guru, and fellow survivor, Bobby Dagen. Soon though, the survivors really must help themselves as Dagen’s dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror…
The last entry of the SAW franchise comes at us from director Kevin Greutert and stars Tobin Bell, Cary Elwes, Sean Patrick Flanery, Betsy Russell (below), Costas Mandylor, Gina Holden, Tanedra Howard, Chad Donella, Joris Jarsky, Dean Armstrong and James Van Patten. It hits theaters across the country on October 29th!
