After informing you guys a couple of times regarding the whereabouts of the second effort from the JACK BROOKS team called THE SHRINE, I’m now pleased to report that a bunch of pics from the flick are finally findable!

Indeed that is one up top of star, Trevor Matthews (Jack Brooks, himself!), preparing to fire one mean-looking crossbow! Down below you will find star, Aaron Ashmore, doing what appears to be his own stunt work. I’m not sure exactly how high a leap that is, but props to the dude for going all out in the action department. If you’d like to check out some more images, just click over to SHRINE’s production blog right here.

The plot for this flick really seems like loads of fun: After a young American backpacker goes missing in Europe, a group of journalists link his disappearance to a remote Polish village called Alvaina. Upon further investigation, the journalists discover that Alvaina has a history of bizarre cult activity revolving around human sacrifice. Hellbent on revealing the truth, they travel to the small village to uncover the story first hand. But after the discovery of an ancient stone statue hidden within the town, they quickly find themselves pursued by a mysterious and vengeful group of locals. Forced into the gruesome reality of true survival horror, the journalists soon realize that Alvaina hides a much darker secret than they could ever imagine.

Director/co-writer Jon Knautz and co-writer Trevor Matthews showed so much talent and genre respect with BROOKS, I am very confident that SHRINE will be something special. Hopefully we’ll get word of a release date soon (beyond just 2010).
