After surviving eight near-death experiences, Louis Drax (Aiden Longworth) plunges off the side of a cliff on his ninth birthday. Amazingly, he survives the fall but winds up in a coma which leaves Dr. Allan Pascal (Jamie Dornan) searching for the strange circumstances behind the young boy's accident and the dark coincidences that have plagued his life. Summit Entertainment has released the first trailer for THE 9TH LIFE OF LOUIS DRAX and it certainly looks it has the potential to be an intriguing supernatural mystery.

Based on Liz Jensen's best-selling book of the same name, THE 9TH LIFE OF LOUIS DRAX was originally set to be helmed by Anthony Minghella (THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY) before his death, but later passed to Alexandre Aja (THE HILLS HAVE EYES). Minghella's son, Max Minghella, penned the screenplay for the film.

While police investigate the cause of Louis’ near-fatal fall and the whereabouts of his violent father Peter [Aaron Paul], acclaimed neurologist Dr. Allan Pascal [Jamie Dornan] uses unorthodox techniques to try to tap into the boy’s unconscious mind and reveal the truth about the events that led to his condition. THE 9TH LIFE OF LOUIS DRAX is set for a September 2, 2016 release.
