Warner Bros. has released the first television spot for Peter Jackson's THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES featuring some new footage, as well as yet another poster. However, it isn't really a new poster: it's the Smaug part of the huge banner that was released a couple of months ago, with the movie's logo slapped on it. Kind of lame, but eh, whatever. I've seen worse posters, and yes, I'm looking at you, EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS.

"I will not hide while others fight our battles for us!"

THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES opens on December 17, 2014.
