Nearly one year ago, I offered you guys one seriously strange slice of cinema entitled THE MAN WHO COLLECTED FOOD. Now, friends, this freakin’ thing may not be for everybody, but it does deserve to be given a chance by any horror fan. You’ll see what I mean when you get to the plot. Plus, its brand new trailer has just been released! And, of course I’ve got the preview posted for you below. All I’ll say is if you’re into darkly comedic shite, then definitely give it a click. Now, take a bite out of the plot:
The movie follows Miguel, the title character, who feels compelled to keep the food he hoards unopened and in mint condition. Therefore, he needs to live off something. The innocence of a collector, mixed with the savageness of a cannibal. That’s right, Miguel eats human flesh in order to survive. Kept in his walk-in freezer are two kinds of people: long-dead ones with missing pieces, hanging like meat for when he wants a simple dinner, and live, gagged ones for those times he feels like “playing with his food.”
Sound appetizing? Does f*cked up even begin to scratch the surface? FOOD was written, produced, and directed by Matt Roth (no relation to David Lee). His cast is made up of Mike Kelly, Gary Wagner, Lila Miller, Russ Fox and Joey Uretta. We are still waiting for some release date news.
