The Japanese poster for the Milla Jovovich alien-abduction flick THE FOURTH KIND hit the internet today. Cool? Lame? There’s a little bit of each going on here that I can’t quite wrap my head around.
An image of TV footage, an image of Jovovich taken from the trailer where she talks to the audience about portraying a true story, a lot of black “white” space, and an issue with centering the title. I’m still intrigued, but I’m also in a state of WTF?
The big question now is, who’s going to be the victor at the box office next weekend? Richard Kelly’s THE BOX or THE FOURTH KIND? Both PG-13 thrillers, though Cameron Diaz’s celebrity is bigger than Jovovich’s… so we’ll see. My money’s on THE BOX taking home the most cash, but we shall see.
In the meantime, have fun with the poster (spit some bullets as to your thoughts on this thing below), and get ready for THE FOURTH KIND in theaters November 6th.
