Fox lands a writer for Chronicle 2

It looks like Fox is really looking to get CHRONICLE 2—the sequel to the 2012 sleeper hit movie directed by Josh Trank—off the ground as Deadline reports that the studio has hired Jack Stanley to write the script. No word on who will direct now that Josh Trank has moved on to helm the reboot of FANTASTIC FOUR, but I'm sure we'll be catching wind of that very soon.

The first film starred Dane DeHaan, Alex Russell, Michael B. Jordan and Michael Kelly and was produced by Davis Entertainment. The film only cost $12 million and banked $126 million worldwide, making it easy to see why Fox wants this one to get made sooner rather than later.

Unfortunately, any details on plot have been kept tightly wrapped up so we'll pass that along as soon as we get it!
