In a move that will likely make you cry yee-haw, Fox 2000 and New Regency have combined producing forces to adapt a film based on Ted Naifeh’s creepy comic COURTNEY CRUMRIN AND THE NIGHT THINGS.
Now, they don’t specifically say if it will be live action or animated, but judging that Stan Winston is producing, I’m thinking live action creature feature effects- which is another reason to boogie down to this news!
The film follows the story of a young girl who moves into her eccentric uncle’s house, where she’s thrown into a world of warlocks, witchcraft and goblins. Meanwhile, she must solve the mystery of why all her classmates are disappearing.
I guess since HARRY POTTER is so hot right now, and movies like LABYRINTH always seem to be like winners, it’s a wonder why they haven’t done this earlier. Graham Tallman (CODENAME: SIMON) is set write the flick, but no word on directors or any lead stars have been announced yet.
