Do you guys remember us telling you about an intriguing little cannibal flick called POE? Considering our last update was way back in April 2011 I wouldn’t be surprised if you don’t… So let me refresh your memory!
Coming our way from director Francis Xavier and starring David Fine, Serena Lorien, Felissa Rose, Kristen De Luca (below), Greg Travis, Sal Landi, Jamie McCall, Azure Parsons, Nicole Nogrady, Christy Sturza, Chloé Domange, Mike Iorio and Stelio Savante, POE’s rundown reads a little something like this:
Brilliant and wealthy Dr. Andrew Casey, a serial killer who goes by the name ‘The Chef’. One night eleven years ago his wife found out. He was arrested and imprisoned at Marathon County Asylum for the criminally insane. Eleven years pass and he is released, completely rehabilitated and moves to Los Angeles under the alias Mr. Jack Conway. Yuppie and former teacher, Johnathon Poe, a descendant of the famed writer Edgar Allan Poe and a brilliant writer in his own right is about to form a bond with the chef as the great doctor begins his spree of killings and cannibalism again.
I’ve gone ahead and tossed up a red-band trailer for this thing below to help get you reacquainted. It’s also there to help you get stoked for today’s news! Metropolis Pictures Entertainment have just announced they’ll be dropping this little diddy on DVD in May! Unfortunately a precise release date isn’t available yet but hey, it’s better than nothing right?
