Mark Wahlberg and James Franco are the latest to join the increasingly impressive cast of the upcoming DATE NIGHT. In the Shawn Levy directed comedy, Steve Carell and Tina Fey play a married couple whose titular date night becomes a little more than they were expecting. Leighton Meester, Common, Taraji Henson and Kristen Wiig are also on board in supporting roles. Wahlberg will play a successful securities expert who flirts with Fey, Franco will play a dim-witted petty criminal, Wiig will play Fey’s best friend, Common will play an unspecified bad dude, Henson will play a cop who believes Fey and Carell are in danger and Meester plays Fey and Carell’s babysitter. When asked about how he’s managed to land such notable names in supporting roles, Levy himself admitted that nobody really wants to work with him: “I think people just really wanted to work with Tina and Steve.” Aww snap! Take that, Levy!
