You’ve been begging; you’ve been crying and; you’ve been pleading. Now it’s here for you in all its awesome glory: the first official trailer for Netflix’s and Marvel’s THE PUNISHER. Edited perfectly to some sweet Metallica, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle a.k.a. The Punisher dispenses justice and brings hell to the scum of the criminal underworld with all the bloody violence you expect.
Here is the synopsis for the bloody show:
After exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld. Now known throughout the city as The Punisher, he must discover the truth about injustices that affect more than his family alone.
I want so bad for this to be among the best of the Marvel/Netflix shows, or at least the most unique. By the end of THE DEFENDERS I found myself a little bored having seen the same heroes in the same scenario, and with THE PUNISHER we will hopefully get something wildly different and R-rated.
There is still no confirmed release date for the show, but expect it sometime in November, or possibly December.
