If you like movies based on video games then have we got a trailer for you! This also includes zombies so try to remain calm. It’s the first trailer for DEAD RISING: WATCHTOWER, Crackle’s original based on the popular series of games. The movie was written by Tim Carter (Mortal Kombat: Legacy), and stars Jesse Metcalfe (Dallas), Meghan Ory (Once Upon a Time), Virginia Madsen (SIDEWAYS), Dennis Haysbert (MEN, WOMEN & CHILDREN), and the always funny Rob Riggle (21 JUMP STREET).

The official synopsis:

DEAD RISING: WATCHTOWER takes place during a large-scale zombie outbreak. When a mandatory government vaccine fails to stop the infection from spreading, the four leads must evade infection while also pursuing the root of the epidemic, with all signs pointing to a government conspiracy. Politics, public paranoia, and media coverage play an important role in the story’s narrative.

It certainly looked better than I expected, but that’s still not saying a lot. I didn't play these games but even I know the first game takes place in a mall and Rob Riggle’s character, Frank West, is the guy killing zombies. Is this a prequel or did Riggle only agree to be in this if he could sit down the entire time? Did anyone play them? What's going on here?

DEAD RISING: WATCHTOWER will premiere on Crackle on March 27th 2015.
