Writer/director Takashi Doscher's film ONLY recently made its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, and has caught our attention with its apocalyptic subject matter. Freida Pinto and Leslie Odom Jr. star in it as

Eva and Will, who bask in the glow of the romance they share until death comes bursting through their door. Following a turbulent trip to the hospital, the pair learn of a mysterious virus, which threatens to eradicate every woman on the planet. As if the prospect of a deadly virus on the horizon wasn’t enough, Eva also becomes a target of savages looking to hunt down the women that remain. Hiding out in self-imposed quarantine, Eva and Will then make an escape into the wilderness, to share one last experience together.

Doscher is from Atlanta, Georgia, and the Atlanta area is the filming location for another apocalyptic story, AMC's The Walking Dead. Several Walking Dead cast members are featured in ONLY, including Chandler Riggs, Jayson Warner Smith, and Joshua Mikel.

Ahead of ONLY's festival debut, Deadline got their hands on the clip from the film that can be seen embedded below.

I've been fascinated by stories of people trying to survive the apocalypse ever since watching the mini-series adaptation of Stephen King's The Stand at a young age, so ONLY definitely has my attention. The possibility that Pinto's character could be the last woman on the planet would seem to make this one uniquely troubling.

We'll let you know when there's any distribution information for ONLY.
