A blog called FUTURE ON FOX has posted five teaser posters for the upcoming J.J. Abrams show FRINGE, which will take a little X-FILES, a little TWILIGHT ZONE, some ALTERED STATES, toss them all together in a blender and hope the next big cult show pops out! (The blog even has the bizarre LOST-esque header “Fringe Backwards is Egnirf”. Ohhh mysterious! Or is it just stupid?) Click it HERE to see all of the posters.
FRINGE will focus on brilliant but possibly crazy research scientist Walter Bishop, his estranged son and a female FBI agent who brings them together.
The LOST and ALIAS creator has said about the show:
“It does the stuff my favorite TV shows and movies do, which is to combine genres that shouldn’t fit together. It’s definitely meant to scare the hell out of you, but it’s also meant to make you laugh… It pushes all the buttons of things we loved from our childhood.”
If he delivers on that, I think we can expect something very special indeed. Let the incessant viral marketing begin!
FRINGE stars Anna Torv, John Noble, Blair Brown, Lance Reddick, Kirk Acevedo, and Jasika Nicole – and should air sometime this Fall.
