Really Scary had a chance to sit down with horror director Stuart Gordon, mostly to promote his episode of MASTERS OF HORROR (‘Dreams in the Witch House’) on DVD, but he did talk about another little movie he made a while back: FROM BEYOND. And what specifically did he talk about? The upcoming DVD release baby!
They’re throwing in all those disgustingly awesome scenes that the MPAA deemed ‘too much’ and had cut out. Now it’s seeing the light of day, and this is where we all rejoice. But can we really expect? Here’s what he had to say about one of his favorite scenes:
The one that
caused
the most trouble, which was the scene where my wife [Carolyn
Purdy-Gordon],
who played the character Dr. Bloch, has her brain sucked through her
eye
sockets.
Nice. What else can I say but ‘nice’. So nice, I think I just speemed in my shorts. To read the whole interview, which Gordon goes more into ‘Dreams of the Witch House’, click HERE, and watch for FROM BEYOND on DVD later this year.
