From Page to Screen: Captain America (Video)

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

With CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR hitting theaters this week we take a look at the origins of the star-spangled hero, who began his roots in Captain America Comics #1 in 1941 and has since evolved from era to era, always steadfast in his moral code and persistence in standing up for what's right. As a weak and frail boy, Steve Rogers was given the opportunity to test the government's Super Soldier Serum, which gave him the physical ability that his mind already had. After being frozen in ice for many years, Rogers was brought back and continued the good fight, although now with the extra burden of being "a man out of time" but no less a formidable leader to The Avengers and a threat to enemies of Freedom everywhere. Enjoy this trip back through Captain America's history and evolution from a comic book icon to a big screen icon.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR opens this Friday.
