Frozen release date

Director Adam Green has proven over and over that he’s a horror director to watch out for, with modern day classics like HATCHET and the well-received thrill-ride SPIRAL. HATCHET 2 is eagerly on its way, but before we get to see that, we’ll get to see Green again in FROZEN, an intense horror flick set in a snowy ski-destination.

While nothing has been officially announced, the boys over at Bloody-D have scored the inside scoop as to the film’s theatrical release date! That’s right folks, it looks like FROZEN will be going theatrical (though unknown if wide or limited release) on February 5, 2010!

To get you in the mind set, FROZEN is about Three skiers stranded on a chairlift and forced to make life-or-death choices that prove more perilous than staying put and freezing to death.

Talk about the perfect winter-released movie! While having FROZEN pop into theaters in December or January would have also worked, February still has a ton of snow in the mountains… any later, and the film wouldn’t be as relevant. Will FROZEN do for chairlifts what JAWS did for water? We can only hope.

While it’s not a straight up horror flick like HATCHET, it sounds like some horrifying shit is definitely going to take place. Now if they’d just release the trailer already! Stick around as either that date is confirmed (or debunked), otherwise get ready for FROZEN in theaters February 5th!
