Fyre Festival meets Lost in teaser for Netflix’s The I-Land

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

It's been nearly a decade since the series finale of Lost, so it's probably time for another series which revolves around a group of attractive folks stuck on a mysterious island where all is not as it seems. To that end, I welcome you to The I-Land, a Netflix sci-fi action adventure series which checks many of those boxes. The streaming network has released the first teaser trailer for the series, which starts out as a spoof of that infamous announcement video for the ill-fated Fyre Festival before turning into something darker.

Starring Kate Bosworth, who also produces, as well as Natalie Martinez (Kingdom), Alex Pettyfer (MAGIC MIKE), and Kyle Schmid (Being Human), The I-Land follows ten people who wake up on a treacherous island with no memory of who they are or how they got there. Setting off on a trek to try to get back home, they soon discover that this world is not as it seems. Faced with the island’s extreme psychological and physical challenges, they must rise to their better selves — or die as their worst ones.

The I-Land will debut on Netflix on September 12, 2019.
