Back at the beginning of the month we told you about a zombie flick heading our way from director Barry Levinson and producers Oren Peli, Jason Blum, Steven Schneider and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones called THE BAY. You guys remember that shite? Or maybe you remember it under it’s previous title: ISOPOD? Either way we told you about that shite nearly a month ago and it seems we’ve finally got some casting news on this ltitle diddy!
The casting update comes from the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting and has the following names joining the project: Will Rogers, Steven Kunken, Kether Donohue, Frank Deal, Christopher Denham and Kristin Connelly. Rogers is starring as ‘Alex’ while Kunken signs on as ‘Dr. Abrams,’ Donohue (below) as ‘Donna,’ Deal as ‘Mator John Stockman,’ Denham as ‘Sam,’ and Connelly (above) rounds out the cast as ‘Stephanie.’ Don’t be surprised if you don’t recognize any of these names… I’m pretty sure nobody does. But hey, isn’t that one of the best parts of these low-budget hand-held video flicks?
THE BAY centres on the aftermath of a viral outbreak on the Eastern Seaboard. The story is told via a series of recordings on camera phones, 911 calls and other scraps of video as the town of Claridge, Maryland, is engulfed by chaos.
Now George A. Romero’s DIARY OF THE DEAD already tackled the whole hand-held video zombie perspective but maybe THE BAY will still be worth checking out. This shite is currently filming so be sure to keep it here for more on the project as we hear it!
