Full details finally pop up for fourth Underworld flick Awakening

The UNDERWORLD: AWAKENING goods have been coming at us pretty steadily lately, no? First we had some set photos, then we scored a subtitle and some actual stills. So what do I have for you today? How about an official rundown? Would that be something you might be interested in? Of course it is!

Sony Screen Gems were kind enough to recently let loose the official rundown for UNDERWORLD: AWAKENING and we’ve got that shite for you guys right here! No reason to beat around the bush with this one, scope out the synopsis:

Underworld: Awakening brings a stunning new dimension to the epic battle between Vampires and Lycans as the first film in the franchise to shoot in 3D.

Kate Beckinsale, star of the first two films, returns in her lead role as the vampire warrioress Selene, who escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both immortal species.

Nothing we really haven’t heard before. Starring Beckinsale, Stephen Rea, Michael Ealy, Theo James, India Eisley and Charles Dance, UNDERWORLD: AWAKENING comes from directors Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein and is set to hit theaters everywhere on January 20, 2012.
