A little ways back, I told you guys about a new visitor to my beloved slasher genre called INTRUDER. It seemed to feature an outstanding balance of all the major ingredients necessary for a psycho-on-the-loose tale. The damn thing even takes place on Halloween!
Well, today, we’ve been graced with a brand new, full synopsis for the flick as well as some new pics (up top and below). Take a powerful stab at INTURDER’s story: Andrew and Lila are on vacation. Andrew always loved his family estate, and Lila – fresh from a yearlong stay in an asylum – is not quite ready for the bustle of New York City. The weekend begins promisingly with a scenic drive from the city and a romantic evening alone. After an unexpected detour the couple’s once brilliant future seems back on track. That is until they wake one morning to find the mangled work of a deranged mind literally nailed to their front door. Soon, on a stormy Halloween in the middle of nowhere, a psychopath working under the cloak of darkness begins a sadistic game of cat and mouse with Andrew, Lila, and anyone else unfortunate enough to cross his path.
Not too shabby, right? I really like having the “mangled work” nailed to their front door. Cool, creepy stuff! Plus, and this is only a guess, I think (from the pic up top) the main psycho may be under the guise of a clown. Oh shit! Not a clown! That just ups the scare-factor even more! I’m definitely looking forward to this one.
INTRUDER was written and directed by Gregory Caiafa and stars Christena Doggrell, Alexandra Grossi, Jack Reiling, Michelle Van Schyndel, Arda Itez, Rob Ryan, Therese Plaehn, Gary Ferrar, Brian Ish, and Anthony Marks. A couple of pick-up shots were completed last July with hopes for a 2009 release.
