SUBSPECIES will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in celebration of its 20th anniversary by Full Moon Features. The first copies will on sale at Comic-Con in San Diego starting July 20. It will then be available directly from Full Moon’s website on July 25.

This marks the first that the film is presented in its proper 16×9 widescreen format, thanks to a new, remastered transfer. It’s also the flick’s Blu-ray debut. The only special feature is the film’s original “Videozone” featurette. Check out the cover art below.

The 1991 cult classic is directed by Ted Nicolaou, written by Jackson Barr and David Pabian and executive produced by Charles Band. Anders Hove, Angus Scrimm, Irina Movila, Michele McBride, Robert MacDonald, Michael Watson and Laura Mae Tate star.

A disparate pair of vampiric brothers tussle for the possession of their father’s powerful bloodstone in this violent horror outing that was shot on location in Transylvania.
