The full trailer for Todd Phillips‘ THE HANGOVER PART III is here, completing the debacherous trilogy that follows The Wolf Pack of Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Alan (Zack Galifianakis), and the always-absent Doug (Justin Bartha) as they dive deeper into their wayward ways. Following the death of his father, Alan goes into a deep spiral of depression and can only be saved by his “Pack” who attempt an intervention, only to be thwarted by a gangster (John Goodman) looking for stolen money from none other than Chow (Ken Jeong), setting the gang on a globe-spanning journey to get it back.

Take a look:

This looks like a lot of fun and I love the direction they’ve taken the story. It would’ve been too easy to come up with a new location and build on the same old concept, which was the biggest complaint of the sequel, but this looks like a step in the right direction. It pays homage, while letting the characters, not the setting, do the work. After all, it’s The Wolf Pack themselves that was always the funniest aspect. I’m looking forward to this one.

THE HANGOVER PART III hits theaters on May 24, 2013.
