Good news for all us action-hounds intent on seeing LOCKOUT as soon as possible…the French actioner has just been bumped up a week. Instead of 4/20, LOCKOUT will now hit theaters April 13th of this year. By my count, that’s a mere five weeks away!

With the announcement comes an updated poster for the futuristic action thriller. As you can see, the new date is incorporated with the images of stars Guy Pearce and Maggie Grace. We also have a newly worded synopsis, if the trailer didn’t paint a clear enough picture:

LOCKOUT follows a falsely convicted ex-government agent (Pearce), whose one chance at obtaining freedom lies in the dangerous mission of rescuing the President’s daughter (Grace) from rioting convicts at an outer space maximum security prison.

Peter Stromare, Joseph Gilgun, Lenny James, Jackie Ido and Vincent Regan are a few of the key contributors. The flick is directed James Mather and Stephen St. Leger, from a script they co-wrote with producer Luc Besson.

Mark it up and down…LOCKOUT hits April 13th.

Maggie Grace
