We have some good news for fans of FX's horror anthology series, American Horror Story. Not only will the series be returning this September for season 7, but FX has renewed it for two more seasons beyond that! So at the very least, we'll have a total of nine seasons to whet our horror TV appetites. Plot details are being kept under wraps, of course, but the powers that be are more than enthused with the success of the show thus far.

FX Networks CEO John Landgraf on AHS:

American Horror Story launched the modern limited series revolution and – as evidenced by the most recent installment ‘Roanoke’ – it remains as vital today as when Murder House stunned audiences six years ago. Each new chapter is a cultural event, beloved for every new twist in imagery, style, cast and plot.

On the flip side of things, if you're a fan of Donald Glover's comedy series Atlanta, you'll have to wait a little bit longer for season 2 to air. Thanks to his commitment as Lando in the UNTITLED HAN SOLO STAR WARS ANTHOLOGY FILM, Glover and FX have pushed season 2 into 2018. This is actually good news, as Glover won't feel as rushed to deliver a follow-up to what's been named the best comedy series of 2016.

American Horror Story: Season 7 will air in September of 2017, while Season 2 of Atlanta will hit sometime in 2018.
