Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman will reportedly appear in The Flash’s solo film

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Barring WONDER WOMAN, the DCEU has had a bit more downs-than-ups lately. While I personally love MAN OF STEEL, I can understand the frustration many fans have felt about that film and the proceedings films BATMAN V SUPERMAN and SUICIDE SQUAD. So it makes sense they would have apprehension to future films, as well as the studios scrambling to keep this expensive cinematic Titanic from sinking in the ocean of apathy and box-office failure. While all the films listed were box-office smashes, none (again, barring WONDER WOMAN) reached expectations, and furthermore toxic word-of-mouth could make that no longer be the case.

So it makes sense now that Wonder Woman is set to be a part of Flash's first solo film, reportedly based on the FLASHPOINT PARADOX comic-book arc in the comics a few years back. Whether this was always going to be the case or not, either way it's perfect timing. Wonder Woman is so far the only real bright spot (in more ways than one) in the DCEU's current slate of films, so to make her more prominent in the universe itself ala Iron Man or Captain America makes sense, both from a critical and financial standpoint. Beyond that, Wonder Woman and the Amazons actually played a really important role in the FLASHPOINT comics, so maybe this will be closer to the source material than we initially assumed.

But what about you Schmoes? You excited to see Wonder Woman in FLASHPOINT? Either way, sound off below!

Meanwhile, you can next see Gal Gadot and Ezra Miller as Wonder Woman and The Flash, respectively, in JUSTICE LEAGUE on November 17th.
