Now here’s a well timed story if I do say so myself! With merely a week gone by since we had a host of new stills (and a poster) for Andrew Shortell’s PSYCH 9, word has hit (via Variety) that newly formed distribution company Galaxy Pictures has acquired the flick, and retains plans to release the film on February 5th in the U.K. (on digital screens no less!)
For a relative newcomer, Shortell made a helluva decision to align Michael Biehn with Cary Elwes, offering them support from Sara Foster, Gabriel Mann, and the always entertaining Colleen Camp.
Holiday eggnog got your brain lifted? No worries, PSYCH 9 finds:
A young woman with a troubled past take a job at a recently closed hospital to collate patient records. Working alone in the building after dark, she experiences a series of unsettling events that lead her to believe the hospital may be connected to a number of recent murders in the area. To uncover the truth, she has to solve the mystery of her own disturbing past.
Lemme guess – this shite’s taking a page out of SECRET WINDOW and HAUTE TENSION and the girl will end up being the killer all along. Right?
Universal Pictures (U.K.) has locked U.K. home video rights for the flick.
