Mick Garris has made a career out of making movies based on Stephen King material, and directing other horror projects for the small screen, including bringing MASTERS OF HORROR and FEAR ITSELF to the masses. And now he’s about to take another step deeper into the horror genre: hosting his own Web Series.
According to Variety, Garris has signed on to host POST MORTEM WITH MICK GARRIS, a Web Series on FEARnet featuring Garris as he interviews the big names in horror, both now and yesteryear, including John Carpenter, Wes Craven, Robert Englund, and Tobe Hooper.
Each episode runs about 5 minutes and features Garris doing what he did before directing movies–chatting with others in the business. Apparently a few episodes have already been wrapped, with the series expected to air sometime this December on FEARnet, OnDemand, and probably every other way content like this is distributed these days.
A dude hosting a show and interviewing celebrities isn’t new, but a horror director sitting down and talking with other horror directors and stars… now that’s something to talk about! I wouldn’t mind seeing what these great minds discuss, whether it’s about the genre or what they did last Saturday night, I’d find it interesting as hell.
Stay tuned for when that first episode of POST MORTEM WITH MICK GARRIS debuts!
