In what’s being called “A Match Made in Hell” (in a good way), New Line is teaming up with Microsoft to co-sponsor a unique promotional event that will feature preview screenings of TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING, as well as an early look at the sweet-looking 360 game GEARS OF WAR!
The promo in question will take place in New York, L.A., Chicago and San Francisco next Wednesday and feature the first public screening of BEGINNING, which will hit theatres nationwide October 6th, while GEARS OF WAR will spin into stores November 7th. After watching the film, attendees (who will be picked from online entries) will play each other in a preview level of GEARS, with one match making it to the big screen.
Not one to exclude everyone else (sarcasm noted), Microsoft will host a webcast on XBOX Live showcasing parts of the event. “Videogaming aligns really well with all the key target audiences for this film,” stated Gordon Paddison, New Line exec VP of new-media marketing.
