got the skinny that the Focus Features/ Rogue Pictures supernatural thriller, formally known as REVOLVER, started shooting this week in Autstin, TX.
Starring hottie Sarah Michelle Gellar, alongside Peter O’Brien and Sam Shepard, and directed by Asif Kapadia (THE WARRIOR), the flick definately sounds promising, in a mystery mind-f*ck kind of way.
Gellar plays a woman who has serious issues- problems with her father, stalked by her ex-boyfriend, and visions (nightmares) of vicious murders of a woman she has never met. This leads her to take a trip to the woman’s home town in attempts to uncovering the truth behind the mystery of the woman’s murder- which, in the end, may lead her to her own death.
Focus Features co-presidents David Linde and James Schamus are pretty stoked about this flick, saying:“Being able to help put a visionary director like Asif Kapadia together with a true star like Sarah Michelle Gellar is what makes our job so gratifying. This team will make a terrifyingly great movie.”
Let’s hope their optimism doesn’t fall short. With this generation’s scream queen on board, I’m sure it’s bound to stir up a few… um, scares. Now all they have to do is come up with a title…. Check back for updates regarding this yet-to-be-named thriller as it comes out!
