Well I just finished telling you all about one Tom Savini project so why not jump right into another? There’s word today on a new short horror flick heading our way that the make-up legend will be starring in called BAGGAGE CLAIM.
Now the actual plot to the film is still under wraps but we do have all kinds of details surrounding it’s production. Coming from a script by Tim Lucas, BAGGAGE CLAIM will have Irene Miracle at the helm and will actually be a product of The FACTORY Digital Filmmaking Program at Douglas Education Center.
So what brought Savini to the project? Well the genre legend has ties with the Douglas Education Center, seeing how it goes hand-in-hand with Tom Savini Special Make-up Effects Program.
“Whenever possible I try to work alongside the students at DEC, but in this instance it was the material that attracted me – it was simply too good to pass up. Viewers are going to see a different side of me as an actor.”
Coralina Cataldi-Tassoni will be starring in the short alongside Savini with Siouxsie and the Banshees’ Steven Severin and his wife Arban Severin working on the original score. Director Irene Miracle even teases us a little by stating how this’ll be an opportunity for us to see Savini’s romantic side… Yikes. Do we even want to see Savini’s romantic side? Does the dude even have a romantic side? One thing’s for sure, it’ll definitely be interesting to see!
Production on BAGGAGE CLAIM is set to begin in late-July so hopefully we get some more details soon. As always, be sure to keep it here for more on the project as we hear it!
