German one-sheet for The Darkest Hour will choke you out with lightning

Poor Rachael Taylor…look at the gorgeous Aussie ingénue getting choked out by an alien lightning bolt. A damn shame!

Still, as much as I hope Taylor makes it out alive, I do appreciate the chaotic looking German one-sheet for Chris Gorak’s THE DARKEST HOUR. The sucker exudes high energy…which is exactly the quality that best describes the trailer as well. A good sign for the movie overall!

Scripted by John Spaihts, from a story he co-hatched with M.T. Ahern and Leslie Bohem:

THE DARKEST HOUR follows five young people who find themselves stranded in Moscow, fighting to survive in the wake of a devastating alien attack. The 3D action-thriller highlights classic beauty of Moscow alongside mind-blowing special effects from the minds of visionary filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov (WANTED, NIGHT WATCH) and director Chris Gorak.

Along with Taylor (below), Emile Hirsch, Olivia Thirlby, Max Minghella, and Joel Kinnaman star in the flick, which opens wide Christmas day.

Better times for Mrs. Taylor!
