UPDATE: Now in English!

As if you haven't gotten enough of Spider-Man already, what with the new poster, trailer, viral site, spinoff announcement, and impending New Years Eve footage and now the promise of a Superbowl Ad, we also have a new German trailer that's got so much unseen footage that it may as well be an entirely new trailer – just in German. The language barrier doesn't hold back the footage, of course, and if you speak German then this is just solid gold for you, and the footage shown has quite a bit more Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), and Aunt May (Sally Field) than we saw in the U.S. and U.K. versions. It's also to note that the title in this version has the "Rise of Electro" bumper on it.

Take a look:

I know there's a lot of distaste for the Spidey franchise, but I'm more optimistic now that the first reboot is over. Getting away from the whole set up aspect offers a lot of freedom, so I'm hopeful they run with it. I'm enjoying the universe building and Easter Eggs that have been teased in all the promotional footage as it makes the ol' webhead feel like he's part of something bigger. As a comic nerd, I'm cool with that.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 swings into theaters on May 02, 2014.
