THOR hits theaters in less than a month and Marvel and Paramount have some serious marketing push left to get butts in seats. They’ve tried downplaying a lot of the Asgard scenes in the TV spots, which mainly makes THOR look like a bad remake of BILL & TED (I’m half expecting Natalie Portman to bring Thor to the mall or to San Dimas High School for a class report). They seem to be going after female fans but I don’t see anyone biting on this footage and in the process they’re alienating hardcore fans of the character.
A bunch of new stills are available from the movie and, as expected, the majority of them are Chris Hemsworth on Earth. But I’ll post the Asgardian ones below and you can click through to our THOR preview page to see all the pics (Thor and Jane by campfire!!).
