Get your best glimpse at Jamie Bell’s Thing from Fantastic Four

Despite being just 4 months out, we STILL haven’t seen a whole hell of a lot from Josh Trank‘s FANTASTIC FOUR. I think that might be for the best, if only to surprise audiences with a quality product. Yes, I’m giving Trank and Co. the benefit of the doubt, and if you ask me, the teaser trailer (of which you can watch below) only reinforced that. One of the film’s biggest mysteries has been that of Jamie Bell‘s Thing. While there are only so many ways you can show us a man made out of rock, this picture posted on a fan’s Instagram page gives us our closest look at the character.

Motion capture is becoming more of the norm these days when it comes to big-budget affairs, and Bell’s performance is one I’m looking forward to almost as much as James Spader‘s in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. Bell’s been delivering solid performances in minor roles for the past decade, so let’s see what he does when you give him a big character like Ben Grimm. Add to that the support of Miles Teller, Kate Mara and Michael B. Jordan, and you have one of the best ensembles of young talent you could hope for in a FANTASTIC FOUR movie.

FANTASTIC FOUR hits theaters on August 7, 2015.
