Get your holiday fix with Bill Murray in A Very Murray Christmas trailer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Written by Sofia Coppola, Bill Murray and Mitch Glazer and directed by Sofia Coppola, A Very Murray Christmas is an homage to the classic variety show featuring Bill Murray playing himself, as he worries no one will show up to his TV show due to a terrible snow storm in New York City. Through luck and perseverance, guests arrive at the Carlyle hotel to help him; dancing and singing in holiday spirit. Check out the first trailer for Netflix event below!

As you can see, this is a star-studded event, featuring the likes of George Clooney, Paul Shaffer, Amy Poehler, Michael Cera, Chris Rock, Maya Rudolph, Jason Schwartzman, Rashida Jones and Miley Cyrus, just to name a few. Sofia Coppola‘s work is decidedly mixed, but LOST IN TRANSLATION re-invigorated Murray’s career, so I’m more than willing to see what this collaboration yields.

A Very Murray Chrismas will debut December 4, 2015 on Netflix.
