Director Jason Reitman’s upcoming GHOSTBUSTERS 3 (or GHOSTBUSTERS 2020, or whatever they're calling it) is headed our way next summer starring Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Carrie Coon, and Paul Rudd. And today we have a quick look behind the scenes of the new movie which seems to tease the return of the classic GHOSTBUSTERS character the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man! Check it out for yourself below!
The cast currently includes Carrie Coon as a single mother, with Finn Wolfhard as her son, Mckenna Grace as her daughter, and Paul Rudd as a teacher. GHOSTBUSTERS stars set to return include Bill Murray as Peter Venkman, Dan Aykroyd as Raymond Stantz, Sigourney Weaver as Dana Barrett, Annie Potts as Janine Melnitz, and Ernie Hudson as Winston Zeddemore.
Now I don't know about you, but just as much as I want to see all of these actors back on the screen as their original GHOSTBUSTERS characters, I really hope this new movie also features the return of The Stay Puft Marshmellow Man and Slimer. After all, as a big fan of the original 1984 movie, I think of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and Slimer as part of the Ghostbusters family, you know what I mean? I'd hate to see them left out.
Guess we'll find out next summer! Meanwhile, GHOSTBUSTERS 2020 is said to focus on a family
who moves back home to a small town. While there, they begin to learn more about who they are and the secrets of the town itself.
That's all we know at the moment, but I'm thinking we can expect to see all of this tie back to the original team of Ghostbusters in some way. But again, who knows? I guess We'll find out come July 10, 2020. Until then let us know how excited you are for this new GHOSTBUSTERS movie below!
