This October is bound to be visited by something strange when GHOSTBUSTERS returns to theaters for a special 35th Anniversary celebration. It's been announced that the Ivan Reitman's 1984 classic is gearing up to slime fans of the iconic franchise all over again, but for two nights only: Sunday, October 6, and Thursday, October 10. This momentous occasion meant to make honorary Ghostbusters feel good is brought to you by the fine folks at Fathom Events, who we hear are very excited to bring the Paranormal Fab Four back onto the big screen.
Fathom's GHOSTBUSTERS 35th Anniversary event will feature an introduction that reunites key members of the cast of this iconic film, sharing the memories of making a film that remains a cultural touchstone. The introduction will also include newly unearthed and rarely seen alternate takes from famous scenes.
According to today's official press release: Fathom Events and Sony Pictures will present “Ghostbusters” in more than 600 movie theaters nationwide at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. local time on Sunday, October 6, and Thursday, October 10.
