Avengers assemble! Wait, sorry, I’ve got the wrong movie. Apple Studios is organizing a new project, Ghosted, that will reunite Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson (via Deadline). The film has Dexter Fletcher at the helm for what is said to be a romantic adventure. The script is being written by Deadpool and Zombieland scribes Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. Both Evans and Johansson are in advanced negotiations to star.

While she continues to make movie deals, Johansson has been in the news after it became known that she filed a lawsuit against Disney for the day and date release of Black Widow on Disney+. The argument has been making headlines for weeks, with Disney’s dirty laundry being left to dry in the public eye. The case has brought forth a lot of questions for actors that have seen their movies released straight to streaming services during the ongoing pandemic. While the matter is ongoing, the result could be a major shift in how contracts are arranged for both cast and crew of major motion pictures and beyond.

Obviously, Johansson and Evans are old friends. After all, they’ve worked together in Avengers films, as well as Captain America: Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War. Ghosted was recently sold to Skydance, where the film is currently in development. We expect to hear more details about this one soon, so be sure to keep an eye out.
