From alien hunter to ghostbuster? If Gillian Anderson has it her way, it’s on!

The former Dana Scully was participating in a Reddit AMA recently and somehow got on the topic of the all-female reboot of GHOSTBUSTERS Paul Feig is in the process of preparing. Evidently, Anderson can’t hide her excitement:

OH MY GOD, I just looked it up online. Paul Feig, cast me now! Start a Twitter petition! I’m free!!!!! I’m free I’m free and I’m funny, goddamnit!…MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

We have actually rarely seen Anderson be funny on the small or big screen, but she’s often displayed a sneaky sense of humor in interviews and during convention Q+As. I have no objections to this casting idea, but I somehow suspect it’s not going to happen.
