Gina Rodriguez had a few special reasons to celebrate on Saturday. The Jane The Virgin actress turned 38, and she also took to social media to announce that she and her husband Joe LoCicero are expecting their first child together.

Rodriguez revealed the special news by posting a video featuring footage and photos of herself with her husband, which led to a clip of the actress holding her pregnancy test. Rodriguez captioned the post with, “This birthday hits different.” You can check out the Instagram post below!

Rodriguez met LoCiero, an actor and MMA fighter, on the set of her former series Jane the Virgin. They got married in May of 2019, and judging from her Instagram page, it has been the best kind of wedded bliss that has now led to this very special moment for the pair.

Gina Rodriguez also felt some of the love from her professional counterparts in the comments of her Instagram post. Taraji P. Henson wrote, “So happy for you,” and Rodriguez’s Someone Great co-star Brittany Snow shared, “Yaaaaaay my love!! So much love for you THREE.” Meanwhile, Jaime Camil, Rodriguez’s onscreen father on Jane the Virgin, posted, “My heart is bursting for you two.”
