All week long, Warner Bros. Pictures has been warning those on the West Coast that Godzilla is making his way to San Diego Comic Con. In fact, Monarch Sciences has been tracking the beast by way of sonar for the past few days, but has done little to halt the lizard king from reaching landfall. To their credit, the Discovery and Defense organization has been issuing updates related to the beast’s progress by way of their official Twitter account.

With seemingly no choice but to allow the towering titan access to one of the biggest comic book conventions of the year, SDCC and Warner Bros. have decided to host a panel for GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS … AND THEY BROUGHT A TRAILER!

Directed by TRICK ‘R TREAT helmer Michael Dougherty, the upcoming sci-fi monster mash stars Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Sally Hawkins, Charles Dance, Thomas Middleditch, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Ken Watanabe, and Zhang Ziyi. The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species – thought to be mere myths – rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS will arrive in theaters on May 31, 2019.
