Godzilla vs. Kong gets an official MPAA rating!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

I don't know about you, but I'm super pumped for GODZILLA VS. KONG! I guess I'm just a sucker for big destructive kaiju action. And while all of the films in the current "Monsterverse" have been flawed, they also had their moments, and hopefully they've finally honed in on those lessons to distill what worked and tossed out what didn't into this one. One can hope, at least. Anyway, here's the official synopsis:

In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.

And now we got the official rating from the MPAA, which is PG-13 for

intense sequences of creature violence/destruction and brief language.

Not really surprising (considering all the other films in the series were also PG-13), but it's still good to know that it'll have intense violence and destruction. That's all you can hope for, really.

Meanwhile, the film is still set to be released November 11th, but we'll keep you updated if that changes.
