Now, before you grab an extra pair of underpants, I have to warn you that this isn’t the teaser trailer shown at Comic Con this year…but, it IS the one that was shown two years ago at Comic Con and is no less awesome. While you may think that a 2-year-old trailer could never hold up to snuff, I think you’ll feel differently after seeing this. It’s a great little teaser that gives you some damn fine glimpses of Toho’s greatest creation: GODZILLA. Featuring a look at the ruins and devastation left by the electrified lizard, the final moments tease a healthy bit of detail in his appearance and it’s more than enough to erase his last cinematic venture to the big screen.

GOJIRA!!!:

<

Directed by MONSTERS director Gareth Edwards, the new GODZILLA stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Ken Watanabe, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, and in his first post Breaking Bad big-screen role, Heisenberg himself, Bryan Cranston. Expectation and hope are high for this one and rightly so. GODZILLA is a staple of pop culture and folks have been dying to see a version that isn’t completely embarrassing. Based on what we’ve seen so far (and what was said at Comic Con this year), I think 2014 will be the year of the lizard.

GODZILLA roars into theaters on May 16, 2014.
