Writer/director Greg A. Sager's sci-fi thriller GRAY MATTER will be receiving a theatrical release on April 20th, and with that date less than a month away a new trailer has arrived online to give a preview of what Sager has in store for us.

Starring Alys Crocker, Shaun Mazzocca, Tara Elizabeth, Drea King, and Brent Bondy, the film has the following synopsis:

Since the 1940s alien beings known as "GRAYS" have been sighted around the globe with the thought that they visit our planet to study our species and civilization before they eventually invade… but what if we're wrong? What if they are only here to protect us? After a meteorite crashes to Earth, awakening the extraterrestrial creature within, a young woman is abducted by an alien "GRAY" to aide in hunting down and destroying the creature before it can reach a second meteorite that fell to Earth decades earlier, unleashing its deadly infestation on Earth.

It looks like aliens in this film will be taking over human bodies in a way similar to THE PUPPET MASTERS. One of those alien-controlled humans gets ahold of a very powerful blaster weapon, giving a lot of this trailer the appearance of being a sort of superheroic action adventure.

GRAY MATTER clearly wasn't working with a high budget, but it seems to be an ambitious movie that didn't let a lack of funds hold it back. I'm willing to give it a chance, it could be fun.
